Property maintenance in Surfers Paradise

Property Repairs GC looks after apartments, towers and common areas across Surfers Paradise. It's the most vertical patch on the Gold Coast — a dense run of high-rise towers wrapped around the beach and the Nerang River, mixing holiday-let apartments with permanent residents and a lot of body corporate stock. That mix shapes the maintenance: tight access, shared spaces, salt-laden wind off the ocean, and a lot of moving parts behind every job.

Paul takes the brief on one number and handles many of the trades himself. For the licensed work — plumbing, electrical, fire — he brings in a licensed specialist and puts their licence number on the quote, so you keep one accountable contact and one invoice rather than chasing a list of subbies. Free fixed-price quotes.

Surfers Paradise is tower country. Most of the work here sits inside strata: balcony and balustrade upkeep, render and paint patching on exposed facades, common-area corridors, foyers, stairwells and car parks, plus the steady stream of repairs inside individual apartments and holiday lettings between tenancies. Buildings this tall and this close to the surf take the weather hard.

The big constant is the coast. Salt air corrodes balcony railings, door hardware, window tracks, hinges and fixings far faster than it does inland, and southeasterly weather drives rain and grime against high facades. We're used to that — sourcing fittings that hold up near the water, sealing and repainting before small problems become structural ones, and working around holiday-let turnover and committee schedules.

Whether it's a single apartment for an owner or property manager, or a whole building's common-area program for the body corporate, we service Surfers Paradise as part of our run from Coomera down to Kingscliff. One call organises it, hours are Mon–Sat 7:30am–4:30pm, and we carry public liability cover for work in occupied buildings.

Surfers Paradise — common questions

Yes. Common-area work is the bulk of what we do here — corridors, foyers, stairwells, car parks, balcony and balustrade repairs, render and paint patching on facades, and general make-good. One call to Paul takes the brief, and you get one accountable contact and one invoice for the whole job. We carry public liability cover, and can provide a certificate of currency, which most committees and managers want to see before work starts in an occupied building.

We cover both. Paul does many trades himself, and for licensed work like plumbing, electrical or fire he brings in a licensed specialist and puts their licence number on the quote. You still deal with one number and one invoice rather than coordinating separate trades yourself.

Surfers Paradise sits right on the surf, so balcony railings, door and window hardware, hinges and fixings corrode much faster than they would inland. The fix is partly choosing fittings that stand up to the coast and partly staying ahead of it — sealing, repainting and replacing hardware before rust or water gets into the structure. We factor that exposure into how we quote and what we install.

Yes. A lot of Surfers Paradise stock is short-stay or tenanted, so we're used to fitting repairs and refits between bookings or tenancies and coordinating access with managers. Tell us the window when you call and we'll organise around it. Our hours are Mon–Sat, 7:30am–4:30pm.
